Spectroradiometer Measurement

A spectroradiometer is an instrument used to measure the spectral distribution of light. In solar simulator evaluation, spectroradiometers are used to determine how closely the simulator spectrum matches the reference solar spectrum.

The instrument measures irradiance as a function of wavelength, allowing detailed analysis of spectral characteristics across the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared regions.

Spectroradiometer measurements are essential when evaluating spectral match classification according to international standards. By comparing the measured spectrum with the reference solar spectrum, researchers can determine how accurately the solar simulator reproduces natural sunlight.

Because spectral measurements require high precision and careful calibration, spectroradiometers are typically used in specialized measurement laboratories or for detailed characterization of solar simulators.
