SAN-EI provides a Warranty Extension System (Annual Review & Renewal) in addition to the standard warranty in order to support stable operation and long-term use of the equipment.
Under this system, SAN-EI reviews the product’s operating status, installation environment, and maintenance conditions. Based on the review results, SAN-EI may approve a warranty extension with clearly defined warranty period and warranty scope.
“Up to 5 years” refers to the cumulative maximum period when annual renewals continue to be approved.
This system does not promise any warranty period longer than one year in advance.
Eligibility for renewal is determined through an annual review.
Warranty Period
Standard Warranty
13 months from the SAN-EI shipment date (including shipping, installation, and commissioning periods).
Warranty Extension (Annual Review & Renewal)
After the standard warranty period ends, SAN-EI may approve an extension of the warranty period in one-year increments based on confirmation of usage and maintenance conditions.
Cumulative Maximum Period
Through approved annual renewals, the warranty period may be extended up to a cumulative maximum of five (5) years.
Each renewal is subject to review, and future warranty coverage is not guaranteed.
Warranty Coverage
During the applicable warranty period, if a failure occurs under normal use in accordance with the operating manual and specified operating conditions, SAN-EI may, at its discretion, provide the following support.
- Repair of the affected parts (including replacement of parts and necessary adjustments)
- Provision of replacement parts when required
- Inspection and readjustment necessary to correct the failure
Recalibration will be performed only when it is required as part of corrective action.
The support method (on-site service, remote support, shipment of parts, etc.) will be selected by SAN-EI based on the product type, location, and failure condition.
Conditions for Warranty Applicability
The warranty applies when the following conditions are satisfied.
- Periodic inspection and recommended maintenance (cleaning, replacement of consumables, calibration, etc.) have been performed in accordance with SAN-EI recommended procedures.
- The operating environment (power supply quality, temperature, humidity, installation conditions, etc.) is within the specified operating range.
- The equipment has not been modified, disassembled, or repaired using non-recommended parts.
- In the event of a failure, the customer can provide the required information such as operation logs, usage conditions, and measurement data in accordance with SAN-EI procedures.
Exclusions (Not Covered by Warranty)
The following items are not covered by the warranty.
- Consumables (lamps, fuses, filters, O-rings, packings/gaskets, etc.) and normal wear or aging.
- Misuse, dropping, transportation accidents, natural disasters, or external causes such as lightning, power outages, or abnormal power supply conditions.
- Failures caused by operation outside the specified conditions.
- Failures resulting from repair, modification, or adjustment performed by third parties.
- Calibration drift due to aging over time (periodic calibration or recalibration).
Note
Recalibration may be performed when required as part of correcting a covered failure.
Routine calibration is treated as maintenance and handled separately.
Warranty Support Outside Japan
For customers located outside Japan, SAN-EI will normally provide support through a combination of the following.
