ASVS is a verification service that supports long-term measurement reproducibility and provides objective evidence for quality-related decisions. Using SAN-EI’s reference solar simulator and spectroradiometric measurement equipment (such as a spectroradiometer), the spectral characteristics of the customer’s AM filter are measured, and the spectral match is evaluated and documented based on evaluation methods and acceptance criteria agreed upon in advance.
The spectral characteristics of a solar simulator can be influenced by the condition of the light source, optical system, and filter, as well as the installation environment and operational history. Therefore, the spectral match obtained immediately after installation does not necessarily remain unchanged during long-term operation.
ASVS assumes these practical sources of variation and clarifies the current condition through periodic verification and traceable records, thereby providing objective information that can support research, evaluation, and quality-related decisions.
The verification results may be used, for example, to support:
- Replacement decisions for AM filters (based on observed changes and documented evidence)
- Consideration of upgrading to an AM filter with a higher spectral match classification
- Discussion of optimization to meet specific purposes, such as increasing or decreasing certain wavelength regions (as part of requirement definition and feasibility review)
